Import Instagram saved posts into Nisaba
Choose JSON as the format when you download your Instagram information, then upload it to Nisaba. The file holds links, author names and dates.
To import your Instagram saved posts, download your information from Instagram and choose JSON as the format. Do not choose HTML. The JSON file holds the post link, the author name and the date saved, so Nisaba imports those three and no captions or media.
Download and upload
- Download your information from Instagram. Choose JSON as the format.
- In Nisaba, choose Import. Under Or from a social network, pick Instagram.
- Choose saved posts or liked posts.
- If you want only part of the file, set From and To under Date range.
- Upload the JSON file.
Nisaba never asks for your social passwords and does not scrape accounts. It reads the file you upload and nothing else.

The table comes from a test on 1 November 2026 with sample files. It is not a test on a real account.
Say you saved a recipe reel by an author called alice_cooks. In Nisaba you get a bookmark with the link, the author name alice_cooks and the date you saved it. To read the caption or watch the reel, open the link on Instagram.
Note: Deleted or private posts cannot be brought back. Nisaba keeps the link, and the post may not open if its owner removed it or made it private.
Import notes
- Files can hold up to 50 MB and 100,000 items.
- Date range filters by the date saved. Items without a date are skipped when you set a range.
- Social imports have no preview step.
- Posts you already saved are skipped, matched by their canonical URL. Importing the same export twice adds nothing.
- Imported posts are grouped in a workspace of their own. If you have reached the workspace limit on Free, they go to Inbox instead.
AI categories
Turn on Auto AI scan + categorize after import if you want the imported posts categorized with AI. This uses AI credits. AI output can be incomplete or wrong, and a post with only a link and an author name gives it little to read. Nisaba never sends preview images from Instagram to an AI provider.
Limits
- Nisaba reads only the file you upload. It does not follow your Instagram account.
- Captions and media stay on Instagram.
- Nisaba needs an internet connection, and there is no native mobile app yet.
